Welcome to my website. I hope it inspires you to take the first few steps (which can be the most difficult, and believe me I know!) to a healthier, positive and more confident you!
Have you ever looked looked around sometimes and thought " What the hell am I doing here!" Well from my experience as a therapist I can tell you there are many people who feel this way, in fact I believe there is an epidemic need for us to find comfort in knowing we are not alone. We are slowly opening up to ideas and inspirations that are moving us onto a more spiritual path, but not until we have cleared the debris of our past can we truly be free to enjoy all the joys of spiritual awareness and self-empowerment that working on the self brings.
Therapists talk about peeling back the layers of the oinion as being symbolic to the layers of the human pysche, but in my experience and personal view- it's more like a vegetable garden, with layers and layers of all sorts of vegetables and fruits! Just as we peel one layer another reveals itself and of we go again!
Leaving the 'old' self behind requires trust in the Universe and an understanding of our shadow side. This can seem a little daunting, as none of us really want to admit we have a darker side to our nature, but of course where there is day there is always night, and one important aspect of healing the inner self, is to embrace who you truly are and not leave room for inner doubt. Therefore working on the self also requires that you accept and love yourself for who you are- warts an 'all!
For many of you this may seem a little hard to understand, but believe me if you know your weaker side and are able to confront your fears, focusing on self-love and healing- no-one past, present or future can deter you or make you feel vulnerable again. We all have something we would rather not look at, but to heal ourselves completely- look we must. It doesn't have to be a painful journey, in fact it is the only the resistance to change that makes it painful or not. What we resist persists. It may change form, but the core will remain the same until we let go of the resistance and allow ourselves to go with the flow creating Divine alchemy.
There are some things that are written; the only difference is how we interpret the words. This relies totally upon our core beliefs and values and is governed by the way we have entered this world- the place, the beliefs installed in the consciousness of our community and culture at that time and as we grow, our personality that evolves from the experiences we have. For example: one child who has grown up in a loving and open environment who has been free to express his/her opinions will be far less likely to feel the need to prove themselves to others. In fact, growing up in an environment where they are free to express their feelings, needs and desires openly will give them the confidence needed to immeditately pursue their goals without having to literally 'fight' their way through restricted situations brought about only by the conscious beliefs they have that you have to fight your way in this world! Those people who feel they have to fight their way to the top do so with dire consequences to their wellbeing. This may not show up in the physical body until much later, but the signs are already there- an accumulation of stress and anger, which is acidic in its primary nature, can leave the individual with ailments such as arthitis and ulcers.
There is the important link between health and emotion, and this can be buried so deeply within the human pysche that it can take literally years to undo all that all embedded stuff unless we increase awareness of self, and make a pact of peace with ourselves on a conscious level. This is relevance to and is the essence of all healing and implied to our human consciousness, it works. So start your day by becoming aware of how you feel inside. The outside of the self including the vibrations of energy in our aura (or energy field), clearly indicate a reflection of what is happening on the inside, like a mirror to the soul and the accumulated experiences we have endured through life.
To discover what you really need, withdraw your invalid opinions of another and take a long look at who you are- starting with the inside. Begin with that, and from there you will find the key to self liberatation- freedom to be who you truly are and the future experiences you have will be like chicken soup for your soul.
I have met many people during my years as a therapist who I can 'feel' are not being true to themselves, they want to live the spiritual life without doing any of the ground work which involves a little dedication and discipline- oh no! I hear you groan! Yes, I know- I've been there, but the rewards of getting to know the real you- not the cloak of many colours that you portray to the outside world will take you closer to your spiritual destiny. That's when you need your spade in the vegetable garden of the human soul! Imagine what tools you may need to cut down and trim old branches, overgrown hedgrows or brambles (perhaps even the odd grape vine). We trim olive trees and other fruit trees to enable them fresh and abundant growth, leaving them to flower one year and rest the next, yet when it comes to gardening of the human soul- what do we do? The soul goes through stages of natural solitude, growth, abundance and harvest just as nature does. There is no difference in caring for our internal garden as there is for the outside. Makes you think doesn't it? How tall are your trees? How healthy are they? Do they need a little pruning perhaps?
Many aspects of the state of the human mind are reflected in the surroundings and life of a person. Just for a moment spend a few minutes examining your surroundings- inside and out, are you happy with what you see or feel? With 168 hours in a week, I am sure you can spare just a few for you!
Peace, love, patience and trust are the key ingredients to gardening for the human soul. Just think of all the flower essences, the herbs and fruits that in therapeutic terms can help restore emotional balance and health. The power within the vibrance of flowers and trees is no secret when it comes to healing soul wounds as has been discovered through the famous flower remedies and essences of Dr. Edward Bach, Arthur Bailey and now many others.
So, this is what I was doing for the past 7 and a half years when I previously lived in Greece- spiritual gardening and healing my heart and soul. My journey led me to investigate the philosophy of how the body speaks the mind, which is why much of my practice is based on body psychotherapy. I examined the human energy system in detail and looked at alternative methods of healing such as Reiki. I had already taken my Reiki 1st and 2nd degrees in the UK, and went on to learn the Reiki Master techniques and teach to others. I also gained certificates in other various art forms of healing in the UK such as massage, aromatherapy, the use of crystals and flower/herbal remedies. As my work and understanding grew, so did my intuition which enables me to look into the past life's of my clients, and identify the root cause of illness. I also practice shamanic healing in the form of soul retrival.
Through times of personal heartache I have at last learnt to be true to myself, living my life with a strong devotion to my spiritual work and beliefs. I keep myself busy practicing yoga together with the inspirational healing arts that I love.
Lesvos Island... Wellbeing Weeks during May and September...
The inspiration of nature on the beautiful Island of Lesvos where I lived for over 7 years taught me that to ‘be’ allows you to ‘begin’, therefore, when I revisit this beloved island each year, I guide groups of people to discover for themselves the secrets of serenity- exploring sacred sites and gathering ancient healing wisdom. Whilst the sun shines we wander through scented pine forests, sit meditating on tops of mountains and bathe in natural hot healing springs. Why not join me? You are more than welcome.
I wish you many blessings on your own path and may you find yourself working with a light heart, able to laugh at your own misfortunes and love yourselves for who you truly are.
Blessed be x
